Firenze

Florence is located in a charming basin bordered by green hills and crossed by the river Arno. A masterpiece city, full of monuments, historic and artistic buildings, galleries, museums, Florence shows all the splendor of its ancient tradition. After the unmissable walk along the landmarks and museums of the historic center, a suggestive view can be admired from the many natural terraces that surround the city (Forte di Belvedere, Piazzale Michelangelo, Church of S. Miniato, Fiesole): a single and compact mass of red roofs, from which towers and bell towers stand out and it's easy to spot the monuments and the river with its many trademark bridges.

Craft activities must also be mentioned (straw and basket making) alongside gastronomy, with all the savoury dishes of Tuscan cuisine, and cultural and folkloristic events (from the Scoppio del Carro to the Maggio Musicale, from the Bird Fair to the Film Festival dei Popoli).
