Pisa

Situated a few kilometres from the sea, at the end of the long and fertile Arno valley, Pisa is at the centre of a unique area with large coastal forests, today part of a Natural Park that protects its wildlife.

Coltano, Tombolo, Migliarino, San Rossore, but also Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia are the elements of this environment which makes Pisa unique in the Tuscan landscape. Ancient Roman port and great maritime republic, Pisa today is no longer on the sea, but its former splendor is still alive in its monuments, full of art and history. The narrow streets that open into picturesque squares with colorful markets, the river banks with impressive buildings, the fascinating Piazza dei Cavalieri and Piazza dei Miracoli, and one of the most famous monumental complexes in the world with the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto and the famous Leaning Tower, emblem of the city.
